From Bob’s notes: “After a week of clouds and rain I finally had a decent night to record meteors. The list of active showers has changed considerably since my last post. Nothing out of the ordinary to report tonight. Hopefully the weather will remain favorable for tomorrows Ursid maximum.”

Hello, I saw a bright large [star?], tonight at 8:00 pm as it fell straight to earth in the south west sky …….I live in the Sierra foothills of california also called the MotherLode. I called the tv station to see if any other people had called in but no. Well thats all there is. Joan
