Clouds were a problem again last night, especially in the early morning hours. Still a good number of meteors were detected. It seems that a small fraction of the meteors from the past week originate near the opposition point, what we call the antihelion region. The rest of the meteors seem to come from random points in the sky and do not appear to be associated with any particular shower.
The weather has not been good in San Diego over the last month or so which is why there have not been too many posts with Bob’s meteor numbers. From his notes: “Skies have cleared a bit in the San Diego area allowing some observations. June is always cloudy in the San Diego area but this month has been exceptionally bad with only 4 usable nights so far.”
